What are you doing?

What are you doing? Have you been living life to the fullest with the abundant life that Jesus spoke about in the scripture? Living the life that God wants for you is simple, but not easy.  Think about where you are in life in different areas like your career, finances, love, and all the other roles that you have and hats that you wear. Think about if you are content. Then, think about are you pleasing God? Are you doing what He called you to do? Doing what God called you to do will make you content and free and is the most important thing. The Bible speaks in John 10:10 and say s, " The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have   it   more abundantly." Jesus came that you may have the abundant life. Do you have a vision for your life or are you existing haphazardly? God has a purpose for you! What are you doing? Over the next few posts, we will be doing some vision work, 2 minutes at a ti...

Make time and space.

Make time and space for people. Sometimes, time and space seem to move at a tremendous speed and we are just trying to keep up with our own ventures, but I believe that when certain people are around, we just have to carve out a piece of time and space just for them. We just have to pause our busy schedules and have a moment set aside for them. They are important and you will create a new memory. Work will always be there, but the precious quality time with someone you care about won't be. Make the time and space today! I am reminded of the scripture when Jesus was asked about fasting and why His disciples are not fasting. Jesus answered them that why should they fast if the bridegroom is with them, basically. It was important to get in that quality time while He was with them. When He leaves, then they can fast.   In parallel, if that person you care about is around, make some time and space for them. Both of you will enjoy it and it will make a difference.  No greater lo...

Stick with it...

There are certain things I never stuck with... But in hindsight, I realize that if I just was consistent with these things, if I just stayed with them a little longer, if I just gave it more of a chance, I would have been excellent in them! This ranges from jobs to diets and so on. Even this blog!    I believe God loves consistency and discipline.  I believe this is synonymous with being faithful, which is of utmost importance. So, I have decided to take a more religious approach to these things -- to consider them from the perspective that I am doing them for God and He does not want me to quit. For instance, healthy eating habits is something I want to maintain, however, I really like sweets at times. When I change my perspective that everything I eat and drink has a purpose and keep in mind my body is the Temple, I learn that I should not overindulge in anything in life not just sweets.   Today, I want to encourage you. I know it is simple but not easy. But you ca...

I don't know!

Sometimes, I don't know where I am going or what is next in life. I feel like I need some sort of mentor or guidance. It helps me to remember Abraham and how he was told to leave everything and everyone and just go to a place that God will let him know when he gets there. Genesis 12. Sometimes, in life, you may not know where you are going, but just continue. You will know when you get there.  You can make plans or think that life is going one way, but it can suddenly change and go in another direction. Embrace the change. God is blessing you. Blessings come in different forms, some may be physical and material, while others are spiritual and intangible. The Bible states in Ephesians 1:3 that we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. I don't know when they will come or how, but I do know they come. Praise God in the anticipation. Praise God in the expectation. Praise God in the manifestation. What I also know is that when life is at its lowes...

Thinking from Eternity

Moving in the spirit and moving with the Spirit, we can see eternity and look back to our earthly life from hindsight at this very moment. Gert caught up in the Spirit. Think about all the things, situations, circumstances, and people that are in your life right now. Now, think about eternity. Which of them are going to be with you in eternity or are helping you get to eternity with God? Name them and cling to them. Which of them are hindering you from eternity, which of them are destructive? Name them and let them go. They no longer serve you purpose and they are blessing blockers! When new things, people, or ideas come your way, think from eternity and deem whether they align with God's will for you or not... Then, you can stay focused and be blessed.  Go, walk with God and be good. God bless you!

That Part - Part 1

Today, let's think about the conditions needed behind everything falling into place for us. The Bible states that when we seek first His kingdom and its righteousness, all these things shall be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). This scripture is true and right. Sometimes, we get in the way of our blessings by putting ourselves first. It seems only natural to put ourselves first, but we need to move beyond it. We must think spiritual. When we do what God tells us to do, we get blessed in this life and in the one to come. You only live twice. Make sure your life is within God's territory now and in eternity.  When we live the word that we are taught and have studied, we walk in peace, we move with grace, and we live with God. God bless you this day.

Give it to God!

Please enjoy this devotional meditation on giving your anxiety to God! I pray it blesses you and gives you a picture of what can happen when you just give your cares to Him. More to come from my first devotional meditation album...

God is for YOU!

Fight your battles for God by letting God fight your battles for you.  God wants to help you and He loves you, so let Him fight your battles. Give Him your burdens, give him your cares, and your worries. He is the One who can change things. Today, my prayer for us is to let things go. Let go of the hurt and any ill feelings that we have. Let go of the negativity. Let go of the influences in our lives that are not Godly. Let's move on to positivity. Think about these two words and their meanings. Negative and positive. Negativity will produce a negative outcome to the neutral events in our lives and we don't need that at all. Being positive literally means to be confident, constructive, and optimistic. It means to characterize based on the presence of features and not the absence of them. Let's count our blessings rather than dwelling on what we don't have at the moment. Keep first the kingdom of God and everything will be added on to us. These things will be given to ...

Cut them down!

In Exodus 34:13, the Bible reads, "Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles." God wanted His people to remove any items related to the pagan worship and idolatry that other nations had practiced. He did not want His people to do these practices, but to destroy them and any evidence of them. At times, God's people rebuilt these places and the Asherah poles. Some of the kings would remove them and others would install them again. God does not want us to worship gods or anything beside Him. And some, correct me if I am wrong, would turn to God but leave these places and poles in tact. What did this imply? But what are the modern day Asherah poles? Are there any in our lives? What are the items, people, places, or ideas that we are building up that we need to tear down? Are we putting something above God or in the place of His Word knowingly or unknowingly? Did we turn to God but hold on to these items, people, places, or ideas? Why ...

Change Your Luck!

Want to go from being stuck to having luck? Well, first, don't look for luck. Seek God's blessings. Seek His kingdom and its righteousness first and everything will be added on to you. Live by this and you will see things change.  Look at Job in the Bible. His greatest fears became a reality and his friends thought he was stuck and must have sinned or done something to get in his situation. But situations are just that, situations. They are not permanent nor do they define you.  Keep your attitude positive. Keep looking for Jesus in the situation, because there is a lesson in it that you must learn or else it will keep repeating itself or prolong the situation. What you should do instead is start praising God for what is happening and know that blessings are on their way to you. Sometimes, things go awry while a great blessing is on its way to you. Don't take this personal or worry. Just pray and praise God! Change your luck with prayer and praise. Prayer and praise change ...
