What are you doing?

What are you doing? Have you been living life to the fullest with the abundant life that Jesus spoke about in the scripture? Living the life that God wants for you is simple, but not easy.  Think about where you are in life in different areas like your career, finances, love, and all the other roles that you have and hats that you wear. Think about if you are content. Then, think about are you pleasing God? Are you doing what He called you to do? Doing what God called you to do will make you content and free and is the most important thing. The Bible speaks in John 10:10 and say s, " The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have   it   more abundantly." Jesus came that you may have the abundant life. Do you have a vision for your life or are you existing haphazardly? God has a purpose for you! What are you doing? Over the next few posts, we will be doing some vision work, 2 minutes at a ti...

Rise Up!

This is war. There will be wars and rumors of wars but the end is yet to come. This is war. We need to get close to God during these uncertain times.  There are glimmers of hope for the future but we need to hold on to the promises of God.

At this time, we may be suffering from loss. We may be in turmoil, out of a job, in a bind financially, in a pickle educationally, in a tight situation emotionally, and overall in a hard place spiritually.

I want to tell you that God is willing and able to take care of you. Put your trust in Him and know that what tries to beat you up in life cannot defeat you. The apostle Paul in Acts 14:19 – 20 was stoned, left alone, and supposed as dead.  The Bible records that 19A group of Jews from Antioch and Iconium came to Lystra and won over the crowds. Then they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing he was dead. 20But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.”

This passage shows that sometimes life will beat you down, others may stone you, and you may be left alone, supposed as dead. But you have to get up! Rise up! You are needed in the city! There are people who need you. And you have to continue in your purpose, your mission in life and proceed with the vision. You have a high calling in Christ Jesus so don’t ever feel defeated. Fight the good fight. Rise up!

2.       What and where is your city?
3.       What do you need to rise up and do?
